Stéréo-mégascope was a term used for tabletop or floor-standing chain-based stereoscopes that incorporated a graphoscope on the top section for viewing standard photographs and postcards. The top section can be tilted to provide a comfortable viewing position. Stéréo-mégascopes were manufactured primarily in France between approximately 1880 and 1900.
