Stereopsis

Stereopsis is the sense of depth that results when the brain interprets the differences between the two eye images. Stereopsis is the visual effect produced when viewing a stereoview through a stereoscope. By isolating the images for each eye and presenting them with appropriate disparity, the stereoscope enables the brain to interpret depth and spatial structure.
