Binocular vision

Tags: Glossary / Stereoscopy basics

Binocular vision is the ability to use both eyes together to see a single, combined image. It requires that the eyes are aligned and work in coordination. Binocular vision is addressed by the stereoscope, as the device presents a separate image to each eye and requires the viewer to use both eyes together to fuse them into a single image.
