The Orthostereoskop has external similarities to the Holmes–Bates stereoscope but is more versatile. The viewer incorporates a sliding black frame positioned between the lens panel and the stereoview holder. This window allows the stereoview to be precisely framed, which contributes to an improved viewing experience. The frame is adjustable from 8 x 11 to 8 x 16 cm. The high-quality lenses of the Orthostereoskop provide strong magnification.
