Whitner patent

Mary A. E. Whitner was one of the few women to patent a stereoscope design. Her design consisted of a pedestal Holmes-Bates stereoscope with a wire-frame holder that could accommodate multiple stereoviews. It is unknown whether the design was ever actually manufactured.
