A sweetheart stereoscope is designed for intimate or shared viewing by two people at the same time. The device typically has two pairs of eyepieces arranged so that two viewers can look into the same stereoscope simultaneously, each seeing a different stereoview. The most common sweetheart viewers are chain-based stereoscopes.
