The Stéréoscope Polychromatique was designed by Louis Gerard and manufactured by Ferdinand Drier. The viewer is equipped with two colour filters mounted in hinged frames. These filters allowed glass stereoviews to be tinted to simulate the colours of sunrise, sunset, or midday light.
