The Stéréoscope pliant simple was Jules Richard’s most basic stereoscope. The holder containing the stereoview can be unscrewed, after which the viewer can be folded.
The Stéréoscope pliant simple was available for the 45 x 107 and 7 x 13 formats. In Richard’s 1913 catalogue, the viewer is presented as Modèles pour cartes postales, which is notable, as paper stereoviews in this format are rare. This designation is no longer present in the 1917 catalogue.
