La Stéréo Carte is a basic cardboard stereoscope designed for 9 x 14 cm postcard-format stereoviews. The design of the viewer was patented by Lévy & fils, a company with roots in Ferrier père, fils & Soulier, which had been a prominent publisher of high-end glass stereoviews. By the time of Lévy & fils, the focus had shifted to paper stereoviews in postcard format.
