Polack stereoscope

The Polack stereoscope is a precision stereoscope developed for clinical ophthalmology and orthoptic (binocular vision) examination, rather than for viewing stereoviews for entertainment. The instrument is generally attributed to Dr. Victor Polack, a French ophthalmologist active in the early 20th century. The Polack stereoscope was manufactured, at least, by Clement Clarke, a British optical company that was one of the leading producers of ophthalmic and orthoptic instruments in the 1920s.
