Negretti & Zambra patented a compact pocket stereoscope. The viewer is packaged as a box. The base of the box serves as a storage compartment for stereoviews and, when in use, as a stereoview holder. The cover can be slid open and fixed vertically in the centre of the box to function as a septum. A lens panel can be attached to the end of the septum.
