The Musique Automatique is a coin-operated stereoscope that plays music while the stereoviews are being viewed. The device was manufactured by the Fabrique de Boîtes à Musique Automatiques of Henri Vidougez. The company was located in Sainte-Croix and specialised in the manufacture of music boxes.
The advancement of the stereoviews is fully automatic. The upper section of the viewer consists of a hinged lid with a large ground glass panel for illuminating the images.
