Transparency

A transparency is a stereoview in which the images of the stereo pair are produced on a transparent material such as glass or plastic. The tissue stereoview is a paper-based example of a transparency. Transparent stereoviews are illuminated using transmitted light. Stereoscopes intended for this purpose are equipped with a ground glass.
