Thomas Richard Williams was a professional photographer known for his stereo daguerreotypes. He specialised in still-life studies and portraits. He learned the daguerreotype process from Antoine Claudet. His daguerreotypes are often marked with the initials “T. R. W.”. Williams designed a viewing case that was sold with his stereo daguerreotype portraits.
Williams also produced a large series of paper stereoviews made from collodion negatives. In 1856, Williams published Scenes in Our Village, a series of stereoviews depicting life in a rural English village.
