A stereoscope is an optical viewing device designed to present two slightly different images separately to the left and right eyes, allowing them to be fused into a single three-dimensional visual impression. It is used to view stereoviews and relies on binocular vision to produce the perception of depth. Stereoscopes can be classified based on size, view mode and viewer type.
