Pseudoscope

A pseudoscope is an optical instrument that reverses normal stereoscopic depth perception. It causes depth relationships to appear inverted, so that near objects appear distant and distant objects appear near. The pseudoscope was an invention of Charles Wheatstone and was first described in 1852.
