Lucien Leroy was a designer and manufacturer of stereo cameras. He collaborated with Charles Bazin on the development of Le Stéréocycle. The camera was introduced in 1897 and achieved commercial success. Leroy took over Bazin’s company in 1898.
In 1904, Leroy introduced Le Stéréo-Panoramique, an innovative stereo panorama camera that was also commercially successful. In the same year, Le Stéréo-Monocle was introduced for use with this camera. This chain-based stereoscope was designed to view both stereoviews and panorama images. The stereoscope was manufactured exclusively for Leroy by Mattey.
In 1920, Leroy’s company was sold to Émile Guérin, who continued the product line.
