John Benjamin Dancer was an English scientific instrument maker and a pioneer of stereoscopy. He built the first stereoscopic camera in 1852, which he presented a year later. After making several improvements, he patented the design in 1856. Dancer's design was the first commercial stereo camera in the United Kingdom.
