The Indupor Taschen-Stereoskop, with its characteristic curved opening for the nose, formed part of the Indupor system for the 9 x 12 format. The standard version was made of black lacquered metal. There were also more luxurious versions, which were covered in various types of leather.

A nearly identical version of the viewer was manufactured by Bing-Werke in Germany and sold under the name Plasto. The stereoscope was distributed in the United Kingdom under the name Camerascope by Camerascopes Ltd.. In addition, many variants with the same external characteristics exist, which probably include imitations.
