Établissements Educa from Paris operated as a subsidiary of Fontaine et Cie and specialised in stereoscopes and scientific instruments.

Under the brand name Educa, the company marketed stereoscopes and curated collections of glass stereoviews intended for educational purposes. The Educa stereoscope and the Alternascope were developed in collaboration with, and manufactured by, Mattey.

An advertisement from 1929 stated that Educa viewers were already in use in 9,000 French classrooms. The devices were promoted as a valuable supplement to classroom instruction. The stereoview collections encompassed a wide range of subjects, including French cities and regions, the French colonies, zoological topics, and documentary images relating to the First World War.
