Stereoscopic apparatus

Stereoscopic apparatus is a term used in catalogues and literature to denote a complete stereoscopic system, rather than a single component. The term is broader than stereoscope and may include the instrument, associated optics, and a set of stereoviews. Brewster used the term in his book The Stereoscope: Its History, Theory, and Construction.
