The Stéréoscope en carton (cardboard stereoscope) first appeared in Mattey’s 1927 catalogue. The viewer consists of two sections that can be slid apart to insert the stereoview. During viewing, focus can be adjusted by increasing or decreasing the distance between the two sections.
