Stereoscope Américain Wytenhove
Region: France Period: 1890–1930 Tag: Mattey
© Stereoscopy History
The Stéréoscope Américain is fitted with a ground glass panel at the rear, suggesting suitability for viewing glass stereoviews. However, the chain mechanism and slide holders are not sufficiently robust to support the weight of glass slides. The ground glass is therefore intended for viewing tissue stereoviews rather than glass plates.
