Sibley patent

The album stereoscope patented by Lorenzo Sibley has a remarkable appearance. The viewer is designed for viewing a replaceable stack of paper stereoviews in a double-sided wire album. The album can hold up to 25 paper stereoviews, with 50 images on both sides. The lens panel is attached to an arm that can be swung back and forth, allowing the images to be viewed on both sides. The viewer has a folding construction.

The stereoscope was available in a richly decorated version and in a plainer form. The viewer was manufactured by R. Fiene of New York, and possibly also by other manufacturers.
