The name Landrey Stéréoscope is probably not the original name of this viewer. It is a unique Brewster-type stereoscope fitted with an additional folding lens on top and a holder for displaying a carte-de-visite. The viewer bears the initials E. L., which most likely refer to the Paris-based publisher Ernest Landrey (1831–1889).
